Such deaths rose from 101 in 2019 to 145 in 2022, 127 in 2023 and 135 in 2024.
The issue is personal for Stephen, a former state prosecutor who also served as deputy commissioner of the Department of Safety before becoming commissioner of the Department of Health and Human Services.
The roundtable will be Feb. 26 from 4-6 p.m. at the Division of Motor Vehicles Auditorium on Hazen Drive in Concord.
Panelists already include Attorney General John Formella, Safety Commissioner Bob Quinn, State Police Director and Col. Mark Hall, Atkinson Police Chief Tim Crowley, and Officer Mike Geha with the New Hampshire Police Association.
