Councilors Wheeler and Stephen Urge Action for Power Supply at Londonderry Fish and Game Club

January 15, 2025

Dear Mr. Thomson,

As Executive Councilors for District Four and District Five for the State of New Hampshire, we write to urge you to assist the Londonderry Fish and Game Club (LFGC) through their ongoing struggle with National Grid, as they work to have electrical power supplied to their Fish and Game Club.

This project has been four and a half years in the making and LFGC has worked tirelessly with Eversource to get the infrastructure put in place. For reasons unknown, National Grid has not given the appropriate time and attention to the project.

Paperwork for the power hook-up was submitted almost six months ago now, in August 2024. LFGC were left feeling completely ignored by Steve Toll of National Grid and it took Eversource calling to finally get a response to LFGC’s request. The response was National Grid asking for the same paperwork to be submitted again; Eversource stepped in to supply all the easement paperwork.

We are now in the middle of a New Hampshire winter and the LFGC still has no power. They are running generators round-the-clock to keep the heat on. This is completely unacceptable.

National Grid has shown themselves to be languid and indifferent to LFGC and the State of New Hampshire by extension. We hope that you will take an immediate and active role in remedying this situation.

Sincerely,

John Stephen, Executive Councilor, District 4
David Wheeler, Executive Councilor, District 5
